I took a weekday off for the first time in a while and spent the whole day completely at ease. There's really nothing quite as restful and rejuvenating as sitting at home with a cup of tea, controller in hand, while everyone else is out at work.

The game I sank my teeth into today was 'Octopath Traveler II', which I've been completely absorbed in lately. Between its signature 2D-HD pixel-art charm and its magnificent soundtrack, time just flies by every time I pick up the controller.

1. Throné's Chapter 2 (Father's Route): The Journey to Montwise

This time I played through Chapter 2 (Father's Route) of the main story for the thief character **'Throné'**. Chasing after "Father," I traveled to **'Montwise'**, a snow-covered city in the Crestlands region, and the intricacy of the village backdrop along with the falling-snow rendering is truly a work of art.

2. A Nail-Biting Boss Fight and the Satisfaction of Clearing Chapter 2

The Chapter 2 boss fight turned out to be tougher than I expected, so I played through it with a bit of tension. Calculating break timing against the boss's weaknesses, stacking up BP (Boost Points), and pouring in damage bit by bit — the **nail-biting sense of accomplishment** when I finally whittled its HP down and took the boss out was something else!

It really feels like Chapter 2 is where the strategic depth and party-composition fun that classic turn-based JRPGs are known for start to kick into high gear. I think that's exactly the flavor that keeps me from putting the controller down.

Wrapping Up

💡 Today's Vacation Summary:
It was the perfect first day of vacation — clearing my head and losing myself completely in the game. I'm looking forward to seeing what stories unfold during the rest of my time off. Hope everyone enjoys their own hobbies too!
